Inspiring young people through creative and active involvement in music-making, this organisation was co-founded by Raph and Phil Merriman in 2009. Recent projects included the Backstories Songwriting project.
European network for cutting-edge music, delivering collaborative exchange tours and festivals annually across the continent. Raph has been involved in the organisation’s growth since its inception in 2011, after it was established via WorldService Project winning the 2010 Peter Whittingham Jazz Award.

The Chaos Collective – the brainchild of Laura Jurd, Corrie Dick and Elliott Galvin, produced this contemporary big band, with which Raph plays first trombone alongside a host of exciting, talented and creative musicians.
Innovative contemporary music ensemble founded by composer Christian Mason and conductor Jon Hargreaves. Raph’s involvement with the ensemble has included performances of Stravinsky’s Soldier’s Tale, and a retrospective of the music of composer Sinan Savaskhan.
Led by the inimitable trombonist and poet Paul Taylor, this trombone trio plays an eclectic mixture of styles with a healthy dose of improvisation thrown in.
